You can't outrun the aatxes in HM so the only way to get to the smites is by killing the aatxe's too.

Like drupal said, this isn't designed to kill the aatxes.

If you're only going for the ecto's, NM is faster and therefore best for it.

I just got this build.
i used VwK and my own W/Any build (also aatxe solo), and the 330hp rt.
But my own build is very very hard to use, the 330hp rt sucks, because dying nightmares will kill you in a second.
And VwK is so slow.
Now i got this, and I've wasted even the last 10k i had on trying to kill the graspings...
I put the 3 enchants on, and rinning skill on lure them.
Go in the middle, count to 5...
Then i have to cast AV, and then i wait again, cast stone flesh shit on me, and then i try to use the dmg skills but i get interrupted, sometimes i even get interrupted in casting stone flesh sperma on me.

i know its not your fault, but im RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing tired its like 3am here and i had a long day and i lost my only 10k lol :/
And i cant even use the build.
And couldnt you merge this build with kinetic armor to kill aatxes too.`?

Killing aatxes would be a waste of time, they have tons of health and therefore take too long to kill. Thats why smite runs were 'invented'

, if you're in need of ectos you have to kill them.

About the graspings, it can be hard if you first try it like you said.
All I can tell you is attack them with your wand/sword/axe etc, they will use their distracting blow because they want to interrupt your 'action'. They normally start with a distracting blow anyway, so make sure you watch their moves. When you see they have all used it (count it, the distracting blow has a different sound and animation), you are save to put av on and kill them.

Practice makes perfect.

And don't panic if you ever get interrupted, you don't really need stoneflesh to survive against them. Just go on with your attack cycle and they will be dead before they can kill you.

How do you manage to have 13sec of AV.
I heard that sympathetic visage was exactly the same as AV. If this is true, what did you do to get 13sec AV?

I haven't bought factions which is why I am concerned.

This build is really old and probably isnt worth it. With SV and AV lasting only 7 seconds due to nerf and nightmares rending encahnts is only 1 second cast it doesnt have alot of use now. I reccomend warrior/rit for almost guarenteed success and rt/warrior for speed.

no....Its been tested after every nerf. Ive tested it myself on those conditions with good(?) results. I have the question mark there because I still dont get amny ectos, but runs still are about 10-12 mins for me.

If you say that this build isn't worth it... the warrior build does exactly the same. Also it's absolutely no problem with changes of AV/SV to do the run.

If you're having trouble with nightmares run in and let the nightmares pop out, after this you can easily kill them and accept Clear the Chamber.

can this build still be used, as i am struggeling extremely with this build. The Grasplings kill me each time with their interrupts.

Yes it still can be used.

Cast Mantra, Stone Striker, Storm Djinns, Stone Flesh & aggro Grasps. Let then use their Distracting Blow, once they all have used it cast Ancestors, wait a few seconds then cast SandStorm, StoneFlesh again, wait for sandstorm to do 4 hits of damage then cast Dragons Stomp then AfterShock. The grasps should be dead.

Rinse & repeat for the other 2 groups of Graspings.

When mastered this build is an incredibly easy uw run, I made about 20 ectos last 2 days. Its worth it.

With E/Me build i can finish a run in around 11 minutes depending on spawns. My personal record is 9 minutes.
I'm looking for an eventual Hero's setup tho. Just to speed up the pre-smiter phase.
Anyone has got any idea?

BTW the fastest way for graspings is this:
cast the enches + SDjing aggro them, wait them to use all the DBlow, then cast AVisage. If not much time has passed since the 1st DBlow then immediatly start casting Sandstorm, otherwise wait 2 seconds. Wait for the 4th hit of SS (yes your enchentment is ended) and start casting Earthquake + Aftershock. They will die with the combo and you'll have about 50-75% hp left.
After activating the quest take immediatly the first group on the left. If you are fast enough you'll be able to kill all the 3 groups without even waste any time (watch out for sandstorm skill recharge tho...)

Hmm, would be interesting. It's not that I think the graspings are slow now, but ye I guess it's always nice to shape off more time (too bad we can't lure all 3 groups at once like in the 'old' days).

Guess we gotta lure them in 1 spot (next to the right stairs), and rape with alot AOE. Casters should probably have mantra of resolve.

This build still works but the point is if that's profitable anymore.
Assuming you do 5 runs per hour, and 1 ecto per run, makes 5 ecto in 1 hour...+ goods (if there are any, that's it) - 5k entrance fee.
Since ectos arent worth a lot anymore, that would make a profit of around 20-30k / hour, depending on rares (such gold items).
And no, this build cant be run in HM.

P.S. always remeber to bring a longbow so it ll be easier to pull more groups of smiters.

Actually i've been told of a setup of Monk+SS+nuker for graspings, but it is rather slow. I think that no Hero setup would help to speeding up the run. ( maybe for DN check you save some seconds...)

Nope. E/Me can use only Sandstorm. You can go E/A and use Shadow Form + nuking spells... But dunno which one is more effective. E/A is kinda harder to play with.

Dont worry, A/E means you have few secs of SF more, but elementalist has a lot more energy to throw on smites/graspings.

Hmm hard to say. Only thing is probably, if you want the fire version to be as fast as this earth version you have to lure multiple (in other words, all smites/enemies in the area) groups at once. Otherwise waiting for MS to recharge (60 sec) would take too long.

I did both, but fact that I'm still using this version says enough I think.
